The second installment of local foodie recommendations. Be sure to check out Part I here. I'd love to hear your feedback on these restaurants or any other local gems you might stumble upon!
Mon Ami Gabi- this classic French bistro has something for everyone. Great for brunch, lunch and dinner, you can grab a seat on the patio and catch the Bellagio fountains across the street. I like to start with the baked goat cheese and a glass of champagne.
The Peppermill- Do you remember what Vegas was like in the 70’s? Or do you want to know? Step into this time capsule for some classic diner food, or relax and grab a cocktail near one of the fire pits in their lounge! Mirrors + Neon lights + fake plants & Fire = Amazing.
Estiatorio Milos- for fresh, mouthwatering Greek seafood. Located inside the Cosmopolitain. Dinner can get pricey but their prix fix lunch might be the best deal on the strip.
Take your best client out to Dinner:
Carnevino- Well the name says it all- meat and wine, done VERY well. Mario Batali’s restaurant is arguably one of the best steakhouses in America, hands down. Not only does Batali has a special program to source only the finest grass-fed beef America has to offer, but he dry ages everything for a minimum of 90 days. Be sure to try the octopus.
The Sweet Stuff:
Sweets Raku- the original, Raku, should really be on this list. It is a nationally-renowned foodie hotspot. But a couple doors down in this unassuming strip mall, you will find one of the most artful, unique and truly wonderful dessert experiences of your life. The three-course tasting menu constantly changes and every dish is a work of art. It’s small, so you may have to wait for a seat. And if you are lucky, you can sit at the “bar” and watch these magical dishes come to life. It’s the perfect place to take your spouse after you ditched them all week at the show!
Donut Bar LV- for next-level donuts. Insane creations like the churro-donut ice cream cone, the big poppa tart- where there is a pop tart inside a donut (I know… give yourself a moment to recompose after that mind-blowing statement). And the classic, oversized “Homer Simpson” donut. If I haven’t convinced you yet, check out this video that went viral of their crème brulee donut. Food porn at its finest…
Luv-It Frozen Custard- only in Vegas do you find a delicious, fresh made frozen custard shack in the parking lot of a strip club. A local’s staple since 1973. Grab one of their famous sundaes and sit back for some seriously good people watching.
